Bros on a Boat

Lyrics for a song I wrote as the hot summer weather left us. It reminisces on precious time spent with some of the most important people in my life. It was written about everyone at the lake over the summer, but I dedicate this to Alex. He was the one prevalently in my mind as I wrote the words; his carefree spirit and love for life was always high when at the lake and twas inspirational. The things said in this piece may be vague, but the memories we made are vivid and live on in our brains.

Let’s never grow old
Stay in this moment forever
Our words are always bold
And it brings us together
I don’t wanna leave
I don’t wanna leave
Days on the lake
When the sun kept us warm
Days in the rain
We’d survive the storm
Dear time laid to rest
In graves of unconsciousness
I pay my dues now and then
To memories not to be again
So I wanted to let you know
That I’m stronger with you in my life
And I don’t wanna see you go
Cuz it hurts more every time
I don’t wanna leave
I don’t wanna leave
Days on the lake
When the sun kept us warm
Days in the rain
We’d survive the storm
Dear time laid to rest
In graves of unconsciousness
I pay my dues now and then
To memories not to be again
